The Marell crafts are designed with a center steering position, inherited from racing and pilot operations. The helmsman's central position provides full and optimal control during boarding and advanced maneuvers. The navigator sits next to the helmsman in a unique and ergonomically designed cockpit layout, necessary for high-speed and intercept operations in any type of weather, day or night, across all climate zones.

The raised foredeck creates a stable platform for the officers when approaching other vessels, while the lower aft deck can be used for boarding smaller vessels, launching watercraft, or deploying rescue runners carried on deck. The aft deck is a versatile and stable multi-purpose platform from which crew members can also be launched to a helicopter, enabling successful complex SAR operations in high seas. Ballistic protection for the wheelhouse and shields for passengers and crew can be installed as an option. These boats are ideal for patrolling missions.
